Serenbe Inn: Chatt Hills, Georgia

I am definitely a city girl, so traveling to Serenbe Inn for a work meeting was an interesting adventure. Serenbe Inn is located in Chatt Hills, Georgia about a 45 minute drive outside of Atlanta, Georgia. Getting there is a bit of a task, so I advise on renting a car. Serenbe Inn is a part of a “community” that was created as a result of opposition to strip malls and processed foods…at least that is what 2 young men told me when I asked what the deal was with the community.Think Beverly Hillbillies meets designer chic if they didn’t move to Beverly Hills ….that is what Serenbe reminded me of.

It is definitely an experience that one would not forget. When I arrived, I was told that my room was a quaint 2 bedroom cottage in the woods, a short walk away from the main house. The picture above was the entrance to where I stayed – the Mimosa Cottage. The forest in the backyard and the rooster waking me up at 5:30am came with the overnight experience gratis.

We had a wonderful farm to table dinner in the farmhouse. Compliments to the chef! Everything was perfectly prepared and the pecan pie was superb.

The room was a bit pricey in the $250+ range, so in order to balance that price tag out, we brought food and alcohol with us. Most of the cottages and houses on the property provide kitchens so it worked out perfectly. The water is fresh and clean too so no bottled water is necessary to purchase!

All in all if you are looking for a quick getaway outside of Atlanta, Georgia and would like a VERY unique, earthy, little hippie-dippie meets chic experience, Serenbe is the place to be.
